Common parameters for vinyl cutter
Max cutting width:
it means the max material width that the vinyl cutter can cut. It is measured in cm or mm.
Max cutting width decides the price of vinyl cutter. The more it can cut, the higher price it will be. And the price may go double when the cutting width getting higher.
There are 70cm,90cm, 110cm,130cm cutting width for vinyl cutter. As a very important parameter, it will be showed at the user manual or package.
We suggest user to buy the vinyl cutter based on the application. Generally speaking, 60cm cutting width is enough for common use. However, if the business is focusing on the advertisement, vinyl cutter with 120cm or wider vinyl cutter will a good choice.
Max feeding width:
It means the max material width that can be put into the vinyl cutter. As we all know, the cutting point does not start from the edge of the material, so the max cutting width is surely less than the max feeding width
Cutting speed:
It is also a very important parameter of vinyl cutter and decides the price for vinyl cutter.
The cutting speed is measured in cm/s, it means the cutting length on the material in some time( second). As we all know, the knife goes curve rather straight line, so the cutting lengths will be the similar straight line.
The common cutting speed are 45cm/ 60cm/s、80cm/s和120cm/s and they are the max value. The real working value is lower than that to protect the knife and cutting system.
The pressure:
It means the knife pressure on the materials when cutting. Normally different materials require different pressure and if the pressure is not right, the cutting result may be very bad. A good vinyl cutter should have a wide pressure adjustment to meet different material requirement.
Interface:
RS232, SD, USB, 2.0 are most popular interfaces. Vicsign vinyl cutter support all of them to control the vinyl cutter.
Cache memory:
Normally 8M max memory for vinyl cutter and if a memory is very low, the vinyl cutter may not work well.
